Steven Ryan, 36, had been walking with a man on a bicycle in Kidderminster in the early hours of February 12 when he was hit by a black Mini Cooper.

He suffered serious head injuries and died in hospital.

The incident took place at around 12.15am and the Mini was driving along the road in the direction of the Horsefair area.

The family of Mr Ryan have described him as "a lovable rogue with a ready smile".

In a statement, his family said: "Steven will be remembered as a bit of a lovable rogue.

"He had a ready smile and was a good friend and a good worker.

"He was always ready to help his mum (although quite often not at the time she actually asked but he usually managed to get around to it eventually!).

"We would ask that you remember Steven fondly and without too many tears.

"Please could anyone who might have information to help us understand what happened on that terrible night to come forward and speak to us or the police.

"Rest in Peace Steven."

Investigations are ongoing and police are continuing to appeal for anyone with information or dashcam footage that could help with their inquiries to call 101 quoting incident 2s of February 12.
