Woman found dead after being hit by train at Kidderminster Railway Station

A woman has been found dead after being hit by a train at Kidderminster Railway Station.

Emergency services were called to the station shortly before 10pm on Friday.

The woman has not yet been identified and police say her death is being treated as "unexplained"'.

A spokesman for the British Transport Police said: “BTP officers attended the line near to Kidderminster Railway Station on Friday, February 9, following a report of a person being struck by a train.

“Officers from BTP and the West Mercia Police attended the incident, which was reported to police at 9.51pm, and the body of a woman was discovered.

“Enquiries are continuing to establish the identity of the woman and the circumstances leading up to her death. A file will be prepared for the coroner.”
