Charles Cooper-Burge, aged 26, of Felix Baxter Drive, pleaded guilty to six counts of making an indecent image of a child and two counts of possessing an extreme pornographic image on May 22.

He was sentenced on Friday at Worcester Crown Court.

Cooper-Burge has also been put on the sex offenders register for an indefinite period and given a sexual harm prevention order.

DC James Griffiths from West Mercia Police said: "Despite his guilty plea, Cooper-Burge has absolutely no regard for the suffering of the children in the images he downloaded.

"West Mercia Police and the Operation Safenet team are committed to tracking down and bringing to justice those who seek to obtain this kind of material."
