A crash in Wolverhampton this evening saw a car end up on its roof – closing the road for several hours.

Emergency services arrived at the scene of Wrottesley Road and Yew Tree Lane in Tettenhall at about 4.40pm this afternoon – and are still there now making the scene safe.

The female driver of the car was checked over by West Midlands Ambulance Service paramedics, but her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

West Midlands Fire Service have cordoned off the road to clear debris off the surface. Only one car was involved in the collision.

It is not known yet when the road will re-open.
