The blaze took place at a property off Langley Gardens, in Tettenhall.

A pile of domestic waste had been set a light but the flames got out of hand and spread to a garden fence.

Fire crews were called to the scene at 1.11pm on Wednesday where firefighters used two water hoses to dose the flames.

Two crews, made up of firefighters from Tettenhall and Wolverhampton, were sent to the scene.

Pictures from the scene showed firefighters tackling the blaze, with smoke and steam pouring into the air.
