Motorcyclist injured after hitting tree in Penn Road crash

A motorcyclist was taken to hospital after they hit a tree following a crash with a car.

Penn Road outside Wolverhampton was blocked as emergency services attended.

They were called to the busy A449 near the junction with Manor Road, in Upper Penn, at around 8am on Tuesday.

The rider, a man aged 37, suffered a chest injury and abrasions to his arm and leg.

He was treated at the scene before being taken to Birmingham's Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
