Car destroyed by fire in Wolverhampton

A car was completely destroyed by a blaze in Wolverhampton.

Firefighters were called to Hobgate Road, Heath Town, at 1.17pm today to reports of a car fire.

One crew, from Wolverhampton, used breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet to tackle the blaze, which completely destroyed the car.

A spokesman for West Midlands Fire Service said: "The incident was left with the car owner who will arrange recovery."

The cause of the fire was not known.
