The 13-year-old has taken it on himself to raise money each year to homeless charities.

This year the Dormston School student is doing a sponsored sleep out, braving chilly temperatures and the threat of rain.

Tristan, from Sedgley, said: “We take lots of things for granted but when you think about it we have a lot more than some other people, I just do this to help those in need.

“I don’t know the reasons for each person’s homelessness, but I do know that everyone deserves a bit of happiness, especially at this time of year.”

“Giving one pound to help someone means very little to us, but to someone else it could mean the world.”

Tristan’s initial fundraising target was £500 but almost £600 has already been raised.

As well as the sponsored sleep out, Tristan’s mother, Lucy Morris, has been hosting a number of raffles on Facebook with top prizes including gin, whiskey, chocolates and Prosecco.
