Man taken to hospital with 'potentially serious head injury' after car crash near Wolverhampton
A man has been hospitalised with a potentially serious head injury after a crash between a van and a car in South Staffordshire.

The incident happened opposite Wombourne Hand Car Wash in Beggars Bush Lane in Wombourne off the A449 Stourbridge Road shortly before 5.45am resulting in congestion in the area.
A man in the car suffered a head injury and was rushed to hospital, while the van driver was helped from the vehicle by the fire crews arriving at the scene. He was also taken to hospital as a precaution.
A Wombourne resident, who did not want to be named, said: "I didn't see or hear the crash, but the sirens woke me and my husband up early this morning.
"From what I've seen and heard it sounds terrible. I just pray that whoever was involved will be okay."
A spokeswoman from West Midlands Ambulance Service said: " We were called at 5.44am to a road traffic collision involving a car and a van on Stourbridge Road, Wombourne.
