Congestion is building at Junction 1 of the M5 in West Bromwich. A spokesman said: "Congestion around the island, affecting all approaches."

Meanwhile, there are 30 minute delays between Junction 10 and 10A on the M6 onto the M54 and further along towards Junction 12 and 13 due to a broken down vehicle.

There are also 30 minutes delays around Junction 7 in Great Barr after an earlier collision.

It comes after the M6 northbound was shut overnight due to a major clean-up operation.
