Crews called to digger fire in Claverley

Fire crews were scrambled to Claverley to find a digger on fire.

One crew from Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service's station at Albrighton was sent to Long Common at 11.52am to assist crews from Staffordshire and West Midlands.

When they arrived on the scene they found a 7.5 ton digger fully alight.

Crews using breathing apparatus and a hosereel jet to control the blaze.

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service has been contacted for comment.
