Certain is a collective of creators, artists and musicians celebrating the power of music to lift the spirit.

The collective aims to showcase local talent, including music, art, animation and video production, as well as working alongside local organisations such as The Asylum art gallery.

A spokesperson for the collective said: "At Certain, we absolutely believe that as a culture we need to start viewing music, art and movement as essentials, not extras.

"In recent times, when life has been stripped down to bare basics, it has been these things that have sustained us.

"Supporting communities and the fiercely talented artists within them, we will try always to put out content that connects, moves or lifts the spirit.

"We want to make music you can carry with you through life, songs you may not even realise you know by heart, but that can transport you to a better place in just three minutes.

"Each of our recordings showcases the talent of an up and coming artist and first to take centre stage is Taylor Stylez.

"Algar/Nicholas are the song writing powerhouse showcasing the stunning vocal talents of Wolverhampton artists; Taylor Stylez, Ange Lloyd, Amara Latchford and Connor Brooks.

"Sprinkling it all with a bit of legendary Magic Garden production stardust is Gavin Monaghan who has worked alongside Editors, Ocean Colour Scene, The Twang.

"Ears to the ground also for future releases and the upcoming Certain show, now in development."

The collective's first single; featuring Coventry-born Taylor Stylez, was released on April 23, accompanied by the ultimate coming out of lockdown video, courtesy of star animator, Dan Crew.

Their first release has been in support of CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably), a charity benefitting support of men with mental health problems.

First single, titled Sunshine Down to the Soles of my Shoes, is out on Spotify now.
