Air ambulance called to Wolverhampton crash

Paramedics have treated one person after a crash in Wolverhampton this afternoon.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the junction of Maypole Road and Wenlock Avenue at 4.29pm.

The extent of the person's injury's are unclear and it is not yet known how many vehicles were involved.

A spokesman for WMAS said an air ambulance was called to a road traffic collision but did not end up attending the scene.

The spokesman said: "We currently have one ambulance at the scene treating one patient."
