The Kingswood Trust, which operates nine acres land in Wolverhampton, is holding a superheroes day on Tuesday.

Children and their families are being invited to buy tickets for the event - with all proceeds going to the charity.

The trust, which became an independent charity in 2014, has a number of different areas on its nine-acre site, including: air raid shelters, woodland and natural habitats, pond areas, bird hide, climbing trees, adventure ropes, forest school base camps and gardening areas.

These are all for the benefit of people attending, from children to adults, to enjoy the outdoors and carry out team building activities.

Helen Heywood, the trust's community officer, said: "It is an opportunity for everybody to connect with nature.

"The outdoors is the safety place to be at the moment so we thought organising an event like this would be good."

Tickets cost £14 for five people travelling in a car which can be brought on Eventbrite.

Social distancing measures will be in place including a limit on ticket sales,. As a result, organisers have asked people to book their tickets as soon as possible.

An advert of the event said: "Dress as you favourite super hero.

"Complete the family quiz and spot super heroes hiding in our woods and grounds.

"Have an adventure outdoors with your family or group.

"We have a Covid-19 risk assessment in place and ask all our visitors, staff and volunteers to follow government guidance, read displayed signage on our site, use hand sanitisers provided and ensure social distancing is maintained."
