Wolverhampton man arrested on suspicion of murder as remains found in Forest of Dean

A man from Wolverhampton has been arrested on suspicion of murder after suspected human remains were found in the Forest of Dean.

Officers from Gloucestershire Police made the discovery shortly after 11.30pm on Tuesday night.

An investigation has been launched while forensic tests are carried out on the remains, with the nearby A4136 between Monmouth and Coleford cordoned off.

A woman from Birmingham, in her 20s, and a Wolverhampton man in his 30s have both been arrested on suspicion of murder.

The pair remain in policy custody as enquiries continue, a police spokesman said.
