Engineering works by Network Rail will be taking place between Coseley and Penkridge, in a bid to keep the railway running, increase reliability and improve journeys.

No trains will call at Wolverhampton from Saturday, April 11 to Monday, April 13 while the work takes place.

Local stopping trains between Birmingham New Street and Wolverhampton will run between Birmingham New Street and Tipton only.

Buses will replace trains between Tipton, Wolverhampton, Stafford as well as Tipton,Wolverhampton, Telford Central.

A spokesman for West Midlands Railway said: "We encourage you to plan and allow extra time for your journeys. Other operators will also be affected by the works at Wolverhampton."
