Three taken to hospital as crash closes Wolverhampton Ring Road

Three people were taken to hospital after a car overturned, closing part of Wolverhampton's Ring Road.

Two cars were involved in the crash, which was on the junction of Waterloo Road and Ring Road St Andrews at about 12.50pm today.

The road was closed for about 90 minutes after the crash but has since reopened.

Jamie Arrowsmith, spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service, said: "We were called to the junction of Waterloo Road and Ring Road St Andrews at 12.49 to reports of a road traffic collision.

"One car has overturned and two ambulances and a paramedic officer attended.

"There were three patients, all three were taken to New Cross Hospital."
