Thousands pour in for stab victim Richard Helm's family

Thousands of pounds has been raised for the family of Wolverhampton stab victim Richard Helm.

A Just Giving page was set up to raise money for the fiancé and children of the 37-year-old.

The fundraising bid exceeded its £2,000 target in less than 24 hours has since reached more than £8,300.

A fundraising event is also taking place at Essington Community Centre on Hobnock Road from 4.30pm on Sunday, October 21.

The organisers are looking for as many donated raffle prizes as possible to help raise money for Richard's family.

The father-of-four was stabbed to death in the early hours of October 12 in Raven Crescent, Ashmore Park, Wolverhampton.
