Driver killed in A454 horror crash named as Wolverhampton man

A man who died in a horror crash on a rural road near Wolverhampton has been named.

Sohan Lal, 64, died after the car he was driving was involved in a crash with another car travelling in the opposite direction on the A454 near Worfield Golf Club on July 30.

Three air ambulances were sent to the crash which also injured seven other people.

West Mercia Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Mr Lal, of Wolverhampton, was a factory worker and a married man.

The inquest into his death was opened by Coroner for Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin, John Ellery, in Shirehall yesterday, and adjourned until November 21.
