The incident, which took place on Saturday, November 4 at around 7am, saw three masked men break into the Stafford Street store and threaten staff.

One of the gang attacked staff with a metal crow bar, before forcing them to hand over loose change from a safe.

The group of three store workers were then locked inside an office while the robbers escaped.

Joe Morris, operations director at Home Bargains, said: “We take all issues of threatened or actual violence against our staff very seriously, hence why we’re offering a reward of £20,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of this gang.

"Due to our secure cash handling procedures, staff did not have access to any cash, meaning the culprits escaped with only loose change.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact West Midlands Police on 101 giving reference 20WV/237333K/17.
