Eurofit Autocentre wants to add three extra vehicle repair bays to its current site on Park Road, Bloxwich, to meet growing demand.

And, if Walsall Council planners give the go-ahead, the company said at least two new mechanics will be needed for the bigger business.

As well as general repairs, the garage said it will enable them to carry out more MOTs and services for customers.

In their application, Eurofit said they wish to build an extension at the back of the existing garage.

They added the extension would be created using the same materials as the building and would not have an impact on neighbouring businesses or result in the loss of car parking spaces for customers.

The application said: “The existing premises are currently in use as a vehicle repair/servicing centre.

“Due to the expansion of the company and the requirement for expanding vehicle repair, additional area is required to meet this demand.

“If the proposed extension is approved, the business will be able to increase its

current staffing, with the addition of two additional full-time jobs.

“The proposals are to apply for an extension to facilitate additional vehicular repair ramps to carry out general vehicle repairs/servicing and MOT’s.

“The site is in an area of similar industrial/commercial buildings and as such the nature of the use is in context with that of the surrounding developments.”

Planners are expected to make a decision on the proposal in the coming months.
