Girl taken to hospital after Bloxwich crash

A 12-year-old girl was taken to hospital after a crash outside a school in Bloxwich.

Two ambulances were called to the scene

The youngster was crossing the street near Field Road, at the junction of Lichfield Road, with a group of other children when she was hit by a silver Vauxhall.

The incident happened at about 3.20pm on Monday.

West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) sent two ambulances and a paramedic officer to the scene and treated the girl there, before taking her to Walsall Manor Hospital.

Her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
