Rushall Primary School in Rushall and Oakwood School, a special school for children aged between three and 14 years old in Walsall Wood, officially became part of The Mercian Trust on June 1.
The Mercian Trust already runs a number of schools in Sandwell and Walsall, including Queen Mary's Grammar School, Queen Mary's High School and Shire Oak Academy.
Since 2018, Rushall Primary and Oakwood had formed part of the North Star Federation, which has now closed according to its website.
Through the federation, the schools worked together to launch the North Star Inclusion Advisory Team which offers advice and support on inclusion to other schools in the area.
Kate Bargh, executive headteacher of the schools, said: "We are thrilled to announce that the North Star family of schools - Rushall Primary School, Oakwood Special School and our highly successful Inclusion Service - are now officially part of The Mercian Trust.

"This marks an immensely exciting new chapter for our schools. As always, pupils remain our North Star, guiding every decision we make.
"With inclusion, social mobility, and belonging at the heart of our mission, we are committed to ensuring every pupil shines. Through collaboration and shared values, we believe that together, we will all shine brightly.
"The future is full of promise, and we are excited to embark on this journey with The Mercian Trust."
