The van hit a detached house on High Street, Bloxwich, at around 10.15pm last night. No-one inside the house was injured.
Fire crews attended the scene, along with the service's Technical Rescue Unit. The gas and electric boards and a structural engineer were also called in amid fears about the property. The fire service said the van left the scene before crews arrived.
A West Midlands Fire Service spokeswoman said: "Shortly after 10.15pm on Sunday we were alerted to an incident where a van had driven into a detached house on High Street, Bloxwich, causing significant structural damage.
"Three fire engines from Walsall, Bloxwich and Wednesbury fire stations attended the scene along with personnel from the Tech Rescue Unit. The first crew arrived in under four minutes.
"The van had been driven away from the property before crews arrived, thankfully the occupants were uninjured.
"Crews requested the attendance of gas and electric boards as well as a structural engineer and worked to make the building safe using temporary supports, before leaving the scene in the hands of police colleagues."
