Power supplier Western Power Distribution said it was looking into the cause of the problem after more than 400 customers in the Bentley Lane, Reedswood, area were affected between 7am and about 7.35am.

"We had a fault on an underground cable this morning, which affected 459 customers. We are able to restore everyone in 35 minutes.

"We’re still investigating the cause of the fault – residents may see our test vans in the area. We apologise for the inconvenience," a company spokeswoman said.
