Three people taken to hospital after multi-car smash in Walsall
Three people were taken to hospital after a three car crash in Walsall.
Emergency services rushed to the scene in Weston Street on Sunday at around 4.55pm.
Five people were treated at the scene, with three being taken to hospital and two discharged at the scene.
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to Weston Street, in Walsall, at 4.55pm to reports of a three-car road traffic collision.
"In the first car, a man in his 40s was out of the car on arrival. He was assessed and treated for injuries not believed to be serious – and was taken to Walsall Manor Hospital.
"In the second car, an adult female didn't wish to have any further assistance, while a male child was assessed and discharged at the scene with minor injuries.
"In the third car, the driver, a male in his 30s, was assisted out of the car and onto a stretcher. He was assessed and taken to Walsall Manor for further assessment. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
"A female in her 20s, we were told she was the front seat passenger, was assisted out of the car by a passerby. She was assessed and taken to Walsall Manor as a precaution.
"We sent three ambulances and two paramedic officers to the scene."
West Midlands Police assisted with traffic management at the scene.
