Crash closes roads in Walsall

A driver was taken to hospital after a crash which closed two roads in Walsall.

Paramedics were called to Littleton Street West just after 2.30pm today to a two-car crash.

The crash closed Hatherton Street between Hatherton Road and Littleton Street West and Littleton Street West westbound between Hatherton Street and New College Way.

The driver of one car was treated for injuries not thought to be serious and taken to Walsall Manor Hospital.

Jamie Arrowsmith, spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service, said: "At 2.35pm we were called to Littleton Street West to reports of a two-car crash.

"Two ambulances attended and there were two patients.

"The driver of one car was treated for injuries not believed to be serious and taken to Walsall Manor Hospital and a passenger, a woman, was treated for minor injuries and discharged at the scene."
