Teenager hit by ambulance in Walsall on Monday remains 'critical but stable'

A 15-year-old who was hit by an ambulance on Monday remains in a "critical but stable" condition.

The child was airlifted to hospital after the collision on Lichfield Street, in Walsall.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said it was working with police to establish the circumstances of the crash.

The collision happened at around 5.35pm at the busy junction near an entrance to Walsall Arboretum.

The ambulance crew were assessed but were unhurt, though badly shaken.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said this afternoon that he was still in a "critical but stable" condition.
