Temporary traffic signals will be in place in Birmingham Road 24 hours a day until Sunday to allow a contractor working for Cadent Gas to replace a decaying gas main.

Long delays are expected at peak times, according to Walsall Council.

Meanwhile, traffic signals will also be in place at the junction of Bloxwich Lane and Leamore Lane until Sunday for another gas main to be replaced.

Signals will also be in Walsall Road in Walsall Wood on Sunday while a contractor working on behalf of South Staffordshire Water undertakes a new connection into an adjacent property.

The temporary signals will be in operation between the junctions of Hall Lane and Boatmans Lane.

And from Monday for two weeks temporary signals will direct drivers while work on a water main improvement scheme is carried out.
