Coalpool Post Office will move to Costcutter, which is at 138 Dartmouth Avenue, Walsall, and will be open seven days a week from 8am to 9pm.

Customers of main UK banks can access accounts at the new branch for services including bill payment, cash withdrawals and foreign currency, postage, home shopping collections and returns.

The current branch at 136 Dartmouth Avenue will close on February 8 at 1pm, with the new branch opening on February 11 at 1pm.

This will increase opening hours by 71 hours a week, including all day Saturday and Sunday and every afternoon. The branch will also open earlier every day and will close later. These changes will make it more convenient for customers to visit.

During the relocation alternative branches include North Walsall Post Office, 133-135 Bloxwich Road, Walsall, and Leamore Post Office, 592 Bloxwich Road, Leamore.

Daniel Rooney, Post Office multiples account executive, said: “We are making it easier for customers to get their cash, send and collect their mail and do their banking because we know how important these services are to local residents.

"We are confident that this vibrant new-style Post Office at the heart of the local community will meet customer needs. This modernisation is part of a major investment programme, the largest in the history of the Post Office and will secure services for the future.”
