Traffic delays over roadworks in Walsall Wood

Traffic delays are expected as two roads in the Black Country will be closed overnight this week while roadworks take place.

Roadworks run until Fridaybetween 8pm and 6am the B4152 Salters Road and B4152 Brownhills Road will be closed to traffic while work at the 'Streets corner' junction in Walsall Wood is carried out.

Salters Road will be closed to traffic between the junctions of Wolverson Road and A461 Lichfield Road. Signed diversion routes will be in operation for affected traffic using Coppice Lane, Boatmans Lane and A461 Lichfield Road and vice versa.

And Brownhills Road will be closed to traffic between the junctions of Occupation Road and A461 Lichfield Road. Signed diversion routes will be in operation for affected traffic using B4152 Brownhills Road, B4152 Lindon Road, A452 Chester Road and A461 Lichfield Road and vice versa.

Access to the Oak Park Leisure Centre car park will be from Coppice Road and the environmental weight limit that operates between the junctions of A452 Chester Road and Clayhanger Road will be revoked in order for access to adjacent business premises to be maintained.

Also, two-way temporary signals will be in operation on A461 Lichfield Road, and three-way temporary signals will be in operation at the junction of Coppice Lane and Boatmans Lane in order to assist traffic flow for drivers on the B4152 Salters Road diversion route.

Access to adjacent properties will be maintained wherever it is safe and possible to do so and all businesses will be open and trading as usual throughout the duration of work.
