Trapped woman cut from car after crash with minibus

A woman was cut from the wreckage of a car after a crash involving a minibus in Walsall.

The red Renault was involved in the smash at the junction of Proffitt Street and Marlow Street in Ryecroft.

The crash happened at around 9.20am with crews from Walsall Fire Station joining paramedics at the scene.

Firefighters used hydraulic cutting equipment to remove the roof and doors from the Renault.

Paramedics were able to treat the woman, believed to be aged in her 40s, for neck pain.

She was taken to Walsall Manor Hospital for further treatment.

There are no reported injuries from those travelling in the minibus.

Walsall Fire Station's blue watch tweeted updated people from the scene.
