Investigations continue into Walsall mosque hate crime

Two men arrested on suspicion of a hate crime at a mosque have been bailed while investigations continue.

A confrontation took place on Tuesday night outside Jamia Masjid Ghausia in Birchills.

West Midlands Police confirmed two people were left with minor injuries, one with cuts to his lip and a graze on the head, and another with an injured right shoulder and a graze to the knee.

Two men, aged 18 and 24, were arrested on suspicion of a 'racial assault'.

Police confirmed both are on bail until a later date.
