Marilyn Stanton, 67, from Pelsall, Walsall, has been helping with Oxfam for the last 15 years.

In the last two years she has started selling old jewellery at a monthly collectors fair in Coven to raise extra money for Oxfam. However she is now running out of people's old jewellerly to sell and is calling on residents to donate.

She said: "I have been raising money for Oxfam for many years now to help with its work in third world countries.

"I have been helping at the charity for 15 years at its shop in Aldridge and I found we were getting a lot of older costume jewellery coming in.

"I run a stall at a collectors fair in Coven every month so I decided to take this jewellery along and set up a mini stall next to mine to sell the pieces on and raise money for Oxfam.

"To this point I have raised £1,376 in what is probably about two years.

"However the problem is that I do not get a lot of older stuff through. As it is an antiques collectors fair I need more older pieces.

"I just need people to donate their old unwanted jewellery so I can continue raising money for Oxfam. Even if the jewellery is broken just bring it along and I can fix it. I just need more stuff."

Ms Stanton will be at the monthly fair at Coven Memorial Hall between 9am and 3pm tomorrow.

Anyone with old jewellery who wants to donate to charity are invited to pop along and leave the jewellery with Ms Stanton at her stall.

Alternatively those interested can pop into the Oxfam shop at Anchor Parade in Aldridge and leave unwanted items there.
