Plans for 20 affordable homes and a shopping centre in a Staffordshire town look set to be given the green light.

Stafford Borough Council's planning committee will discuss the outline application for the homes on land adjacent to Lichfield Road, Stone, at a meeting on January 30.

A council officer has recommended that the plans are approved, subject to conditions and a Section 106 funding agreement.

The application says that 31 car parking spaces would be created under the plans, and the retail space could create 25 jobs.

If approved, another application for the finer details would have to be given the go ahead at a later date.
