Crispin Court Care Home in Stafford has sponsored the stand as a number of residents have connections to the team.

Now the home has decided to try and raise funds to revamp the stand to make it comfier for people with disabilities.

Fiona McCracken, head of wellbeing at the home, said: "Crispin Court is part of Avery Healthcare and we're really committed to community projects so we've sponsored the disability stand.

"We've got quite a few residents here who have links to the football team, one man's brother used to play for them and another is an avid follower, so that's why we chose the club.

"The residents are really looking forward to using the stand themselves and we're going to be fundraising for new chairs and blankets in the stand.

"If people want to help us fund raise they can follow us on Facebook and get involved.

"What's really important is people who are living with disabilities can go there as it's a great little area, and one of the best places to watch the matches from.

"Hopefully the residents will be regular attendees from now on."
