Kevin Odams died after suffering a "medical episode" at the wheel of his van on the A513 yesterday morning.

The 66-year-old from the Nottingham area died at the scene of the crash after the van veered off the road.

The busy route between Stafford and Rugeley was closed for around four hours as emergency services, included an air ambulance, worked at the scene.

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: "Mr Odams' family members have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.

"They have requested that their privacy be respected while they come to terms with their loss.

"Anyone with any information or dashcam footage is asked to ring 101 quoting incident 93 of August 15."
