Three land ambulances were also sent to the scene in Whitgreave Avenue at about 11.20am today.

Jordan Eggington, spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service, said: “We were called at 11.21am to reports of a medical emergency at an address in Whitgreave Avenue.

"We sent the Midlands Air Ambulance from Tatenhill, three land ambulances and a paramedic officer to the scene.

"On arrival, crews found a man in a critical condition with bystander CPR already in progress. Staff worked hard to continue treatment on scene, but sadly despite everyone’s best efforts, nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed dead at the scene.”
