That involves a number of social events – and the delivery of festive reindeer.

The team at the Amazon fulfilment centre in Rugeley is being offered a series of socially distanced events to enjoy in the run up to Christmas.

Christmas Jumper days, festive food deliveries, free T-shirt giveaways and reindeer visits are just some of the activities taking place.

It is part of Amazon’s drive to improve its reputation for relationships with staff, particularly before Christmas when its numbers swell with temporary workers.

Gary Norton, Amazon’s Rugeley site leader, said: “It’s fantastic to come together as a team to celebrate in a safe and fun way.”

Amazon has created more than 800 seasonal jobs at its giant site in Rugeley. The Staffordshire 750,000 sq ft centre has 1,000 permanent staff.
