Crews from Rugeley, Cannock, Lichfield and Chase Terrace were all sent to the scene on the Peartree estate at around 2pm on Saturday.

The fire involved around 300 square metres of gorse land.

A spokesman for Staffordshire Fire Service said: "At one point we had four main jets and one hose reel at the scene. The fire was on scrub land on what residents call the Peartree estate.

"It was approximately 300 square metres of land alight.
