Bilash has had its licence revoked by Cannock Chase District Council meaning it can no longer sell alcohol at all or any refreshments after 11pm.

The Bow Street eatery has 21 days to appeal the decision made by the authority’s sub licensing committee this week.

The panel was prompted to review the licence after a raid in November found two works who were in the country illegally.

The owner Abdul Muktadir was subsequently fined £30,000. Staffordshire Police called for the restaurant to have its licence to be revoked stating it had a total disregard for its licensing objectives, one of which is to prevent crime.
