Plan for 17 homes in Penkridge

A total of 17 homes could be built on land in Staffordshire if plans are approved.

An outline application has been submitted for houses on the land off Stafford Road, Penkridge.

In the plans, it says that 40 per cent of the homes would be affordable housing.

It says: "The application site comprises undeveloped land on the northern edge of Penkridge. The site lies adjacent Stafford Road which is to the east as the road runs in a general south-west/north-east orientation.

"Taking all matters into account, the proposal for up to 17 dwellings including 40 per cent affordable housing represents sustainable development and should be granted planning permission."

The application will be considered by South Staffordshire Council's planning committed in the coming weeks.
