Woman taken to hospital after two-vehicle crash

A woman was taken to hospital after a crash in Shenstone today.

Congestion was caused in both directions on the A5127 Birmingham Road in Lichfield, near Shenstone Lodge School, at around 8.20am.

A spokesman from Staffordshire Police said: "We were called to reports of a two-vehicle road traffic collision on Birmingham Road, Lichfield at 8m20 this morning.

"A woman was taken to hospital after being assessed by paramedics."

The woman's injuries are said to be minor

A spokeswoman from West Midlands Ambulance Service added: "We were called at 8.21am to reports of an RTC involving a car and parked vehicle on Birmingham Road, Shenstone.

"We sent one ambulance to the scene.

"Crews treated one patient, a woman, for minor injuries and she was conveyed to Good Hope Hospital for further treatment.”
