Car seized after police say learner driver hit road on provisional licence with no insurance

Police say a vehicle has been seized and a learner driver reported after taking to the road on a provisional licence with no insurance.

The red car was halted in Hednesford on Tuesday night, with officers saying it was a "damp night for a walk" after it was seized.

A tweet from the Staffordshire Police Roads Policing Unit, who shared an image of the vehicle, said: "The driver of this vehicle thought it was acceptable to drive unsupervised on a provisional licence and with no insurance in Hednesford

"Reported for those offences and vehicle seized #oplightning #dampnightforawalk."
