Jackie Weaver to appear on Hednesford Town Council event to mark International Women's Day

An event will be held on Monday by a town council to mark International Women's Day with Jackie Weaver.

Hednesford Town Council is launching Hednesford’s first International Women’s Day event on Monday from 6pm-7pm.

The virtual event will be live streamed on the Visit Hednesford Facebook page and is free for all to attend.

Guest speakers will include: Jackie Weaver of Cheshire Association of Local Councils, Jo Williams, NHS operations manager and Care Quality Commission registered manager, Anita Rattan, headteacher at Hednesford Valley High School, Tanya O’Neil, entrepreneur and business owner, Lynn Evans, founding member of Friends of Hednesford Park and Councillor Kathryn Downs, chairwoman of Hednesford Town Council.

Speakers will be sharing their story with the community, talking about the challenges they have faced in their career and the advice they would give their younger self.

Hednesford Town Council intend for this to be an annual event to recognise the women in the community that have made a difference.
