WATCH: Drone footage shows £160 million Cannock designer outlet near completion
The £160 million designer outlet being built in Cannock is still on track to open this autumn despite the pandemic, boss have confirmed.
Work is still continuing on the site – and social-distancing measures have been put in place to keep staff safe.
Mike Thomas, centre manager, said: "Works are continuing on site, with a range of social-distancing measures in place to maintain welfare, and we are still on course to open in the autumn."
New aerial footage has shown the the progress being made at the impressive shopping centre.
Work has been ongoing at the McArthurGlen Designer Outlet West Midlands since July 2018 and the outlet is due to open to the public in September, Cannock Chase Council previously said.
When it opens about 1,000 jobs are expected to be created at the shopping village, which will feature around 80 brands, restaurants, cafes, and 1,400 car parking spaces.

The completed outlet will include a square with a coffee kiosk, “dancing fountain” and art, where events will be held throughout the year.
There will also be a children’s play area near the square, to back onto the nature reserve.
