Man left with serious head injuries after Cannock assault

A man has been left with serious head injuries after he was assaulted outside a bar in Cannock.

The assault took place in High Green, Cannock.

The man in his 40s was assaulted by four men outside JKS Bar and Bistro, in High Green, at around 4.20am on Sunday.

The four men made off from the scene and the victim was taken to New Cross Hospital.

Staffordshire Police has now launched an appeal for witnesses.

Investigative officer Stephen Meakin, from force CID, said: "This was a serious assault that left a man with severe head injuries after spending the night with his friends.

“Anyone with information, or anyone who may have dash-cam footage such as taxis nearby, are asked to call us."

Witnesses can call officers on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111, quoting incident number 147 of September 1.
