Six children involved in three-car crash in Cannock

One patient was taken to hospital as six children and two adults were involved in a crash this morning.

Emergency Services were called to the scene at Brownhills Road, Cannock, at around 8.27am, where three vehicles were involved.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We sent two ambulances to the scene. In total, we assisted seven patients and took one to Walsall Manor Hospital."

A Staffordshire Fire Service spokesman said: "We were called to reports of a collision between three vehicles.

"Crews from Cannock and Aldridge attended where there was two adult women casualties and six children."

"All had been released from the vehicles before we arrived."

Staffs Fire Service tweeted: "There were a number of casualties including six children but no one is believed to have been seriously injured. All casualties were left in the care of the ambulance service."

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: "We were called just before 8.30am this morning to reports of a three vehicle road traffic collision.

"No serious injuries were reported and the drivers exchanged details."
