Asked how he felt about his daughter braving the shave, Mark said: "I'm overwhelmed.

"She wanted to raise money for Cancer Research. We have had members of our family diagnosed with cancer and are currently recovering cancer patients.

"The head shave was all her idea."

He added: "We had a really good turnout. The head shave was done by a friend of ours, she is a barber. I would like to thank everybody who donated, my friends and family and my wife Kelly Chapman."

Courtney has smashed her original fundraising target of £500. The grand total is now more than £2,000 and the cash is still being counted.

Among the businesses that donated items auction was Wolves Football Club who provided a football signed by the first team.
