Chasewater Day, organised by Chasewater Friends, will take place this weekend, August 10, from 10am to 3pm.
The group's aim is to get more local people to visit and enjoy what Chasewater has to offer and to find out more about its special status.
The family fun day will see lots of activities on offer, from music, games and story-telling to crafts and taster sessions run by businesses and clubs based at the park.
Secretary Susan Williams said: "The friends all know what a fantastic place Chasewater is and we want to help spread the word. We are keeping our fingers crossed that the weather will be kind and hope that lifelong Chasewater lovers along with people visiting for the first time will join together in a great community event."
New trustee John Griffin said: "Chasewater is such a fantastic place for local people to enjoy, take time out and get a bit of rest and relaxation. For the more adventurous, Chasewater also has a whole range of sporting and other activities going on and Chasewater Day will give an opportunity for people to see just how much is on offer there. Come along and join us on 10th."
A shuttle bus will be operating during the day to bring people to and from Heath Hayes, Norton Canes and through Burntwood to the pedestrian bridge over the Burntwood by-pass at the end of Church St, Chasetown. More shuttle bus information will be available on the Chasewater Friends Facebook page or, for other queries, email firstname.lastname@example.org
